Token-based auth
SHA-256 hashed bearer tokens with refresh rotation. Tokens are never stored in plain text — not even on our own servers.
Strong password policy
8+ characters, mixed case and digits required. Stored using bcrypt — the WordPress core hashing engine.
Soft-delete audit trail
Watches and service records are soft-deleted, not destroyed — recoverable, auditable, never silently lost.

Is there a native iOS app, or just a website?
Both. The iOS app is built natively in SwiftUI for iOS 18+ with offline-first SwiftData storage that syncs to this site. The web dashboard mirrors the same modules so you can manage your collection from any browser.
Where do market prices come from?
You can record prices manually or pull them from supported marketplaces — Chrono24, Hodinkee Shop, Crown & Caliber, Bob's Watches, Watch Station. Each price record is sourced and timestamped.
How does the AI Assistant make recommendations?
It compares the current market price of a watch to its rolling-window average and produces a Strong Buy / Buy / Hold / Sell / Strong Sell signal with a confidence score. Brand-specific factors (limited production, waitlist premium) are layered on top. The model is deterministic — same inputs always give the same answer.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
You can export everything as JSON or delete your account from the Profile screen. Deletion is permanent and removes every record associated with your account.
Can I share my portfolio with my insurer or watchmaker?
Per-watch and full-portfolio exports are on the roadmap. For now, every detail screen is printable and includes the full record (purchase, condition, service history, authenticity).
